چکیده

We present results from a new cosmological hydrodynamics simulation campaign of protocluster (PC) regions, FOREVER22: FORmation and EVolution galaxies in Extremely-overdense Regions motivated by SSA22. The simulations cover wide range scales using three different zoom set-ups parent volume $(714.2~\rm cMpc)^{3}$: PCR (Proto-Cluster Region; $V= (28.6~{\rm cMpc})^{3} $, SPH particle mass, $m_{\rm{SPH}} = 4.1 \times 10^{6}~\rm M_{\odot}$ final redshift, $z_{\rm end}=2.0$), BCG (Brightest proto-Cluster Galaxy; $V \sim (10~{\rm $m_{\rm SPH} 5.0\times10^{5}~\rm end}=4.0$ ), First ( (3~{\rm 7.9 10^{3}~\rm end}=9.5$) runs, that allow to focus on aspects galaxy formation. In the we follow 10 PCs, each harbouring 1 - 4 SMBHs with $M_{\rm BH} \ge 10^{9}~\rm M_{\odot}$. One PC cores shows spatially close arrangement seven starburst ${\rm SFR} \gtrsim 100~\rm M_{\odot}~yr^{-1}$ each, are dust-obscured would appear as submillimeter flux $\gtrsim 1~$ mJy at $1.1~ \rm mm$ observations. runs show total SFRs haloes hosting BCGs affected AGN feedback, but exceed $1000~\rm $z \lesssim 6$. resolve mini-haloes population (Pop) III stars that, dominant stellar changes Pop II 20$, first 18~\rm form 10$. These can be prime targets for future observations James Webb Space Telescope. Our successfully reproduce global star formation activities observed PCs suggest kickstart cosmic reionization.

The initial conditions of stellar protocluster formation

Context. The majority of stars form in clusters. Therefore a comprehensive view of star formation requires understanding the initial conditions for cluster formation. Aims. The goal of our study is to shed light on the physical properties of infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) and the role they play in the formation of stellar clusters. This article, the first of a series dedicated to the study of IRD...

Studying Galaxy Formation in Loose Galaxy Groups

We present the results of our HI survey of six loose groups of galaxies analogous to the Local Group. The survey was conducted using the Parkes telescope and the Australia Telescope Compact Array to produce a census of all the gas-rich galaxies and analogs to the high-velocity clouds (HVCs) within these groups down to MHI< 10 M⊙ as a test of models of galaxy formation. We present the HI mass fu...

Galaxy formation.

It is argued that within the standard Big Bang cosmological model the bulk of the mass of the luminous parts of the large galaxies likely had been assembled by redshift z approximately 10. Galaxy assembly this early would be difficult to fit in the widely discussed adiabatic cold dark matter model for structure formation, but it could agree with an isocurvature version in which the cold dark ma...

Lyman Break Galaxies , Ly Α Emitters and a Radio Galaxy in a Protocluster

We present deep HST/ACS observations in g475r625i775z850 towards the z = 4.1 radio galaxy TN J1338–1942 and its overdensity of >30 spectroscopically confirmed Lyα emitters (LAEs). We select 66 g475-band dropouts to z850,5σ = 27, 6 of which are also a LAE. Although our color-color selection results in a relatively broad redshift range centered on z = 4.1, the field of TN J1338–1942 is richer tha...
